What Is Shrink Wrap?
Shrink wrap is a plastic polymar film largely made up of a resin that is very strong, durable and has a high UV additive which prolongs it from deteriorating in the sun. When heat is applied to the plastic, the molecules retract, making it shrink tightly over whatever surface it is covering, molding perfectly to the size and shape of any object. It is available in a wide range of thicknesses, sizes, shrink ratios, colours, (the most common colour being white.) and is 100 % recyclable.
Shrink wrap has a variety of uses and can cover practically anything. It is predominantly used in the construction, transportation, storage and marine industries.
